The Front Porch Recording Studio is available by appointment to local businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals who have a message they want to share. At the Front Porch Recording Studio you can create branded single or multi-episode digital recordings (podcasts) for sharing with your friends, your customers and the world. In the Studio we want to help you define your mission, find your voice, and tell your story.

What can I expect on my first visit?

There’s no reason to feel intimidated. We are there through every step of the process. You may be nervous at the thought of speaking into a microphone, much less having it recorded, but once you give it a try, you’ll realize how easy it is. More importantly, you will value the experience of simply talking about your passion with others. You’ll receive an orientation to the equipment so that you will always know what’s happening and why.

How will I know what to do?

A sound producer will be with you in the studio during your session to mix the recording live. He will be there to enhance your recording and provide direction. We will help you think about how to engage your listener, focus your story, and deliver content that is easy to understand as an audio file.

Will my finished product sound professional?

There are features to a podcast that move it beyond a raw audio recording to a final, enjoyable listening experience. At the Front Porch Recording Studio, you will have access to a wide selection of intro and outro music to help you find the right tone and mood for your podcast. You’ll learn about the different formats for a show, and decide what will work best for you. After the recording is made, we at Front Porch finish the episode—editing out mistakes, adding the music, and providing the show notes.

How will everyone hear my podcast?

Once you have heard and approved the final product, we will post it to a media host and make it easy for your listeners to subscribe to your podcast, find you on the internet, as well as on social media and podcast directories.

I'm experienced in recording podcasts. Do you have a package that doesn't include all the in-session or post production work?

Do you record on location?

What if I want to record something longer than 45 minutes?
